Freddie Pinkney
RBT
Registered Behavior Technician
Freddie was born and raised in New York City and for the past twenty years, he has worked in education with children with a wide range of disabilities. For the past 14 years, Freddie has worked for the Board of Education in New York City and is now employed by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools here in North Carolina as an assistant special education teacher.
For seven years, Freddie has worked at Jay M. Robinson Middle School as an Exceptional Children’s Assistant Teacher as a part of their EC department and has recently transferred to Ardrey Kell High School to be closer to his home.
In addition to Freddie’s educational roles, he is also an RBT with Carolina Therapeutics and provides care to clients in their home environments as well as clinical settings. It has been a tremendous blessing in Freddie’s life to be able to work with children with disabilities, and helping to improve the lives of children is one of Freddie’s greatest passions. Freddie believes the most rewarding aspects of teaching are when he gets to see a student improve or when he gets to witness a student achieve their goals.
During his free time, Freddie enjoys listening to music, reading books, watching movies, drawing, and going to the gym. Freddie also enjoys reading mystery and history books, watching action movies, traveling, and taking road trips!
