Jamilia Bush

Speech-Language Pathologist, Early Intervention Specialist, and Feeding Therapist
Jamilia received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University in Ohio. Upon graduation, Jamilia moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to begin teaching kindergarten, and after a few years in the classroom, she returned to Ohio to pursue her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology and later completed an additional graduate-level certificate in Early Intervention.
Jamilia is licensed to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina and has significant clinical experience in the treatment and evaluation of pediatric clients in a variety of settings, including clinical settings, preschools, home health environments, and teletherapy. She also has experience with the adult and geriatric populations, namely while supporting individuals with cognitive impairments, swallowing disorders, and challenges associated with hearing loss.
Jamilia has a special interest in serving young children and their families within their natural environment to support functional receptive and expressive communication, articulation and phonology impairments, social communication, and feeding. Jamilia is also a feeding therapist with Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC, and has completed the SOS Approach to Feeding Training
Jamilia prides herself in being “just a kid from Akron, Ohio” but loves being able to call North Carolina her second home. During her leisure time, Jamilia enjoys traveling, trying new recipes, listening to music or podcasts, going for walks, and spending time with family and friends.
