Speech-Language Pathologist
Kyra was born and raised in Athens, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Education degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Georgia and later earned her Master of Education degree in Communication Disorders at Valdosta State University.
Kyra is licensed to practice speech pathology in South Carolina and is actively completing her clinical fellowship with Carolina Therapeutics. During her clinical training, Kyra worked in public and private schools, community settings, and private practices. In her clinical rotations, she almost 700 hours of experience in early intervention, pediatric feeding and swallowing,articulation disorders, receptive and expressive language disorders, fluency, apraxia, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) while working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, cleft lip and palate, as well as other developmental and genetic disorders.
Kyra has worked with children ages 0-18, as well as young adult and geriatric populations. Kyra strives to make a positive impact on the children she works with and their families. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, drinking iced coffee, cooking, and spending time with friends and family!
