Speech Language Pathologist
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, McKayla traveled south to further her career as a Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in both North and South Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Ohio University and her Master of Arts degree from The University of Akron.
While completing her clinical practicum, she predominantly trained in pediatric settings via her university clinic, a K-12 school that supported students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and a local preschool. McKayla’s professional experience consists of providing individualized and group therapy in clinical environments, daycares, and in preschool settings.
McKayla is qualified to assess and treat children with a wide range of communication impairments, including those with receptive and expressive language, phonology, articulation, fluency, and pragmatics challenges. While McKayla enjoys working with a variety of patients, she has a passion for treating children in the areas of early intervention, developmental delays, and articulation.Utilizing a friendly and flexible approach, McKayla is eager to help children and form strong relationships with everyone she collaborates with during the therapy process.
In her free time, she enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family and exploring all that Charlotte has to offer!
