Rae Francis
PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant
Rae earned her Associate’s degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program at Central Piedmont Community College and is licensed as a PTA in both North and South Carolina. Previously, Rae earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from UNC Chapel Hill.
In addition to her pediatric coursework through CPCC, Rae completed a pediatric clinical rotation wherein she gained experience with a wide variety of diagnoses and patient populations. After graduation, she worked at an outpatient clinic where she provided physical therapy services in the clinical setting, in homes, and in daycares.
Prior to her physical therapy career, Rae spent 10 years working with children as an English teacher and gymnastics instructor. Throughout her various professional roles she has emphasized using play to help children learn and achieve new skills.
In her spare time, Rae enjoys going to theatre shows, reading sci-fi and fantasy novels, sewing, and taking her cat hiking.
